resurrection

Jesus is still not on the cross,
the tomb is still empty,
Jesus is still alive.

God's reassurance

so this weekend I went to cincinnati to see my friend hannah.
she was in the play at her school.
the play was spectacular, and hannah was such a superstar.
it was "the curious savage"
I really enjoyed it.

on the way home, my GPS was behaving badly.
Le-a (la-dash-a) had me drive the wrong way down a one way street.
luckily, I did not die, nor hit another car.
also, she had me on some Kentucky backroads.
I was starting to get a little nervous, because I thought I was super lost.
while I was driving down this windy road, I saw two churches.
both signs in front of these churches had "be still, and know that I am God" on it,
which is the verse I am living by these days.
God has this awesome way of reassuring me of His awesome love and faithfulness.
I instantly calmed down, and I found the right road eventually.
God won't let me down, never ever.
after I get back from Ukraine, I am going to get this verse inked on my wrist.

AD 2011

AWESOME DAY 2011
this past weekend was awesome day.
saturday was a day jam-packed with awesome.
we had 2 inflatables.
one was a castle bounce house with a slide.
the other was a ginormous pirate ship with a huge slide.

we also had free sno-cones.
and even free t-shirts, which came from goodwill.
(I did wash them before I gave them away)
everyone seemed to have a wonderful time, as we could tell by their sunburns.
we had at least 75 people stop by & get a sno-cone
or get a free t-shirt
(you know, college kids are all about the free stuff)
a few of my friends that transferred last year came.
hannah came from cincinati, chloe came from new albany indiana, cody & his girlfriend dana came from franklin indiana.
it was really nice to get to see them.
we just wanted a day where we could pretend to be 5 years old and not worry about the pressures of college.
I think we did a pretty good job.

allyson blowing up the kiddie pool.
chloe and hannah dancing.
some of my most favorite people in the world.
becca put up her hammock for some shade time.
jumping for joy on the bestest day ever :)
