Tunisia

today was the last time I got to see my friend before she left for Tunisia.
she is leaving soon, and she is super excited.
I'm super excited for her!
God is going to use her to do some awesome things in Tunisia.
one day, I hope to be as cool as her.
she's definitely an inspiration.
this afternoon, we just hung out for a little bit, catching up about life.
we gave each other some inspiring scriptures that have been helping us through.
it was nice.
I'm definitely going to miss her while she's gone.
I've gained a friend, as well as a mentor.
starting the day she leaves, I will be praying for her daily.
I encourage you to be praying for her as well, she's going to need all the prayers she can get.
pray for her not to get discouraged, pray for her to push through all resistance she encounters, pray for her to spread the Word of God in Tunisia, pray that God will continue to reveal Himself to her through it all.
basically, just pray for her.
go to www.pray4tunisia.com and enter your email address.
it sends you simple little updates daily and gives you things to pray for.

sweet cece's

i have been to sweet cece's twice in one week
once last saturday night and once tonight
how can you go wrong with fro-yo?
especially when you pay by the ounce
and you can put as many toppings as you'd like on there
we've decided that the next time we go,
we're going to see who can stuff the most into their cup
and see who's weighs the most
kaitlin had the lead tonight, with 0.97
i only had 0.68
i'll have to step it up a little bit for the next time

p.s. for those of you who don't know what sweet cece's is, you are missing out. sweet cici's is a frozen yogurt (fro-yo) store, kind of like menchies. you get a cup and fill it with as much frozen yogurt as you want and then add whatever toppings you desire, such as granola, strawberries, melted caramel, cap'n crunch, m&m's, cheesecake, and the list goes on and on. i absolutely adore this place. they just opened one in newburgh about a month ago. i will single-handedly keep them open :)

$70

yesterday was the opening of the art show here on campus.
I actually had 3 pieces accepted into the show, as well as one entered in the competition for the cover of the program.
one piece won the merit award for a non-art major, which was $50.
I also won $20 for getting 3rd place in the cover competition.
so overall, I won $70, woot woot!!!!
I feel like such a boss, haha.
mom and dad came over to see me and to see my art.

almost over

today was my last day at home before heading back to school tomorrow.
Angela spent the night last night, so we were pretty lazy for the majority of the day.
tonight, I went to see a movie, Beastly, with Angela, Erin and Cacy.
we had such a good time, singing in the car, eating dinner at the Ellis house beforehand, giggling during the movie, laughing, enjoying each others presence.
it was wonderful.
I'm so thankful for such grand friends.

my spring break has been pretty empty, but I rather enjoyed it.
I've really enjoyed being home and doing absolutely nothing for a solid week.
dad and I went to the superman museum in metropolis on Tuesday.
then we went to St. Louis Zoo and art museum on Wednesday.

other than that, my week was filled with random time spent with friends and family and by myself.
a little shopping, a lot of hang time with my friends, a lot of time spent with my family, a little time at the hair salon, lots about the wedding.
there's only 77 days until the wedding, it's crazy.
that means there are only 87 days until I leave for Ukraine.
wow, time is flying by.
I feel like I just found out about my internship yesterday.
I'm getting really excited!
support raising is definitely not my favorite part, but I had about 51% of my funds already.
which is awesome, praise God!

I think I'm starting to get a little sick.
my nose is stopped up and I've had a bit of a headache.
and just overall not feeling well.
hopefully it goes away soon.
I'm headed to bed, so I hope to feel better when I wake up in the morning.

SB '11

spring break is finally here!

I've been home since Friday afternoon, and I've been enjoying every minute of it.
yesterday, mom and I went shopping for clothes/shoes for my internship this summer.
we went to Paducah for the day, and it was a lot of fun.
my friend Becca from school came over last night and we just hung out.
and she got to go to church with me this morning.
I actually got up in front of the congregation this morning to talk about my internship to Ukraine this summer.
I was super nervous, but Angela was there with me, so it wasn't too bad.
I'm getting really excited about going and all that God has in store for this summer and for the people of Ukraine.
God has some awesome things He's going to do.
I'm just glad He's chosen me to be apart of it.

I don't really have any plans for this week.
getting my hair trimmed, going to take Gracie & Kaylynn to lunch tomorrow, taking photos, hanging out with my parents, hanging out with my BFFs, relaxing, doing nothing, not worrying about work, not worrying about schoolwork.
I've been waiting for a break, it's wonderful.
